Was here again after maybe 35 years; the location under the vines is still very nice - BUT the price / performance ratio, especially when it comes to food, is "underground". 12 euros for some meat sausage (in artificial casing) with half a slice of bread for 6.20 and a mixed salad the size of a cake plate for 4.80 testifies to a lot of self-confidence when it comes to pricing. So unfortunately no reunion!

Very nice atmosphere, very nice owners and very good food

I haven't been so impressed with an inn in a long time, the tables were cleaned properly and the seating was extremely comfortable. For sure, I come here with my people for my part and can rely on being served properly, yes ... right, so that I can still have a dessert afterwards.

Oh no! Very cozy and nice people serve Hessian classics such as ribs with cabbage, bratwurst with Kochkäs. A fresh draft Bock beer from Grohe. The vault is not suspected from the outside. Reservation makes sense. We come more often now ???

Rühmanns, this is a rare pub in the present time, atmosphere very cozy, beer delicious, the rustic food too, Rainer the host very special but I like him.

Here you can get as well: friendly and fast service. Cheap, varied selection of dishes and drinks. I was really happy with my sister to finally have found a restaurant in our area, which we can afford at the end of the month without any restrictions. We find the restaurant up-to-date for all sorts of events - irrespective of whether with a husband, friends or family. We were absolutely positively surprised. We will definitely come back.

Small and fine. Very cozy restaurant. Ideal to meet with friends and to end the evening. The service was very nice the food was delicious.

Simple things like roast potatoes with a cheese or a quark bread taste simply heavenly thanks to the best ingredients and apparently loving preparation. Quaint feel-good location in Darmstadt.

Nice pub in the heart of Bessungen. Prices sometimes very high. 3.90 € for a small plate of fried potatoes is clearly too much.

This is a cozy pub with light to medium portioned traditional German meals on the menu and the best local beers on tap. Service has been quick and friendly in my experience so far. Candlelight instead of TVs, murmuring voices of nearby conversations instead of music.. this is my kind of place.
